Tigers are an endangered species. The
Siberian tiger is the most prominent, living in areas where winter is so
extremely cold that humans are not around. Despite this, tigers in the
wild are on the verge of extinction.
Some of the countries you might find a tiger
today include: Russia, China, India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia,
Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam.
There were eight species of Tigers in the
world. Three are now extinct and the five left are extremely
endangered. The species that are now extinct have disappeared sometime
from 1950 to late 1980's. It is up to us to protect and perhaps
re-introduce the Tiger back into some kind of protected habitat, or soon
there will not be any Tigers left in the world.
